Maps

I have a map of the world prominently displayed on the wall above my desk. Throughout my working life, similar maps have adorned every cubical, desk, work area and living occupied.  These maps are my motivation and inspiration.  They are a constant reminder of why I work and what I would like to achieve. When I am feeling discouraged or overwhelmed I look at them. I image myself in far off places with names I can’t pronounce and sights far to majestic for words to discribe. I wonder what the people are like. I wonder how their cultures and customs fit into the tapestry of this wondrous place we call earth.  These maps remind me that no matter how great my problems or frustrations may be, there is something else beyond what I can see.

When you are having those morning when it is a struggle to get up and get going or those days that test your strength, remind yourself of why you are working and what you are working towards. I encourage you all to keep your vision in the forefront of your mind. Keep your passions in front of you and your motives in clear sight. If need be, hang up photos or purchase miniature of the possession you wish to acquire and the sites you want to see.  Remember the world is at your finger tips so take action to make the vision happen.

Today’s Motivation:

“Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.”

~ Joel Baker
